NSE Insight
Active Professional Work in Market Intelligence
I am currently working on a market-intelligence system for the Nairobi Securities Exchange, as the first market in a broader effort to develop models for understanding information, exposure, and shock propagation across financial markets.
[!NOTE] Ecosystem Context: NSE Insight leverages the causal mapping capabilities of the Scarcity core engine to track how economic shocks and information propagate through securities. It runs parallel to KShield's macroeconomic analysis, applying similar structural discovery principles to high-frequency financial markets.
The work focuses on a question broader than short-term price prediction:
When new information enters a market, which entities are exposed, how might its effects propagate, and what response can the available evidence support?
The current research and development combines market data, company and sector relationships, macroeconomic information, historical events, and quantitative response modelling. The aim is to represent the market as an interconnected system rather than treating each security as an isolated time series.
The NSE is serving as the initial market and research environment. The longer-term direction is to adapt and extend the work to other securities exchanges and market structures, allowing the underlying methods to be tested across different markets rather than being designed around a single exchange.
An important part of the work is determining where the available information supports a meaningful conclusion and where it does not. The system therefore distinguishes measured signal from assumption and avoids forcing forecasts when the evidence is insufficient.
This is active professional work in development. The current focus is establishing the research and modelling foundation on the NSE before extending it to additional markets.
